Plymouth was retired in 2001, which makes it the oldest badge I still cut keys for. The survivors around Winnipeg are mostly Voyagers and Grand Voyagers — minivans that were built in enormous numbers and simply refuse to die — along with the occasional Neon, Breeze or Sundance kept on as a second car.
The good news with a Plymouth is that the keys are usually the simplest job on my list. Most of them are plain mechanical keys with nothing electronic inside, which means a lost key is a cutting problem rather than a programming problem. The later models added Chrysler’s Sentry Key immobilizer, and those need a chip coded to the van — also something I do at the vehicle.
Either way, nothing has to be towed and nothing has to be ordered in. I come to the car, cut what it needs, and you pay only once the key works.
Plymouth keys I make on-site
Whatever your Plymouth needs, I come to you and handle it where you are:
- Lost all keys — a new Plymouth key cut from scratch, with nothing to copy.
- Spare / duplicate keys — cheap insurance on a vehicle that is down to one key.
- Sentry Key transponder keys — coded to the van where the model uses one.
- Remote fobs — keyless-entry remotes set up where the vehicle supports them.
I cover the Plymouths still running here — Voyager and Grand Voyager, Neon, Breeze, Acclaim, Sundance and the occasional Prowler. Tell me the year and model and I’ll confirm what yours takes.
Plymouth owners in Winnipeg call me most often about a Voyager down to its last key, a Neon key that has worn out, or a van that has lost every key after a move — all handled on-site in one visit.
Common Plymouth key jobs I handle in Winnipeg
Most Plymouth calls come down to a few familiar situations, and I cover them on-site:
- Voyager down to one key. The most common Plymouth call by a wide margin. A spare cut now is a fraction of what an all-keys-lost job costs later.
- Lost every key to the van. I work from the vehicle rather than from a copy, cut a fresh blade and program a transponder if the model has one.
- Key worn round. Twenty-five years of use rounds a blade off. A fresh cut to the original specification fixes what a copy would only repeat.
- Sentry Key that will not start the engine. On the later models the chip has to be recognized by the van before it will run — I code it at the vehicle.
- Second key for another driver. Common on family vans that get shared.
Which Plymouth key you have
- Most model yearsa plain mechanical key with nothing electronic in it. Cutting it correctly is the whole job.
- Later Chrysler-built modelsSentry Key — a transponder chip in the key head that the vehicle has to recognize before the engine will run.
- Vans with keyless entrya separate remote fob for the doors, which is programmed on its own.
If you are not sure which you have, send me a photo of the key you still hold plus the year and VIN. A plain key and a chipped key look similar in a photo, but the year and VIN settle it before I drive out.
What to have ready at your car
Before any work, I always check your vehicle registration and a matching photo ID. It’s a standard part of how I work — to confirm the vehicle is yours and keep everything above board.
Still have a working key? A spare starts from $160. No working key left? An all-keys-lost job starts from $200.
You always get the exact number up front, and pay only once the key works. I accept Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Interac e-Transfer or cash.
1-year warranty on my work · No call-out fee — you pay only for the result.
The Plymouths I see most in Winnipeg
The Voyager and Grand Voyager account for most of my Plymouth work — they were the family vehicle of a generation and a lot of them are still hauling things around Manitoba. The Neon shows up as a kept-going commuter, and the Breeze, Acclaim and Sundance appear occasionally. A Prowler is a rare treat.
Where I come to you
All of Winnipeg and the surrounding region — including Selkirk, Lockport, St. Andrews, West St. Paul, Headingley, Stony Mountain, Stonewall, Oakbank and Niverville. Outside Winnipeg a travel fee is worked into the all-in price — you hear the final number before I set off. Open 8 AM–9 PM, 7 days a week. I come to wherever the car happens to be — a driveway, an office parkade, a grocery-store lot — and the whole job is done at the vehicle, so you never need to arrange a ride, a tow or a second trip.
Why a mobile locksmith is the only sensible route
Plymouth ended in 2001, so there is no dealer to go to. A Chrysler dealer can sometimes help through the shared parts bin, but you would be towing a vehicle that is old enough to vote, paying for the tow, and waiting your turn behind newer cars.
I come to the van instead. The price is agreed before I set off, taxes included, and you pay only when the key works. If I cannot make it work, you owe nothing.

Frequently asked questions
- Can you still cut a key for a Plymouth?
- Yes. Plymouth was a Chrysler brand, so the blanks and equipment are the same ones I use for Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep. Most Plymouth keys are plain mechanical keys, which makes them one of the more straightforward jobs I take.
- Does my Plymouth key have a chip in it?
- Most do not. Plain mechanical keys were used across most of the range. Chrysler’s Sentry Key transponder appeared on some of the later models, and where it is fitted the chip has to be coded to the vehicle before the engine will run. Send me the year and VIN and I’ll confirm which you have.
- How much is a Plymouth key in Winnipeg?
- Most Plymouths take a plain mechanical key, and a spare starts from $160; a Sentry Key transponder key on the later models and a keyless-entry remote, where the model has one, start from $160 as well. With no working key left, an all-keys-lost job starts from $200. You get the exact number before any work begins and pay only once the key works.
- Which Plymouth models do you cover?
- Voyager and Grand Voyager, Neon, Breeze, Acclaim, Sundance and Prowler. Send me your year and model to confirm.
- I lost every key to my Voyager. Is that still fixable?
- Yes, and it is done at the vehicle. With no key to copy I work from the van itself, cut a fresh blade and program a transponder if the model has one. All-keys-lost starts from $200, all-in.
- Do you come to me, or do I bring the van to you?
- I come to you. The whole job happens where the vehicle is parked, so there is no tow and no second trip.
What is included when I make your Plymouth key
My price is all-in with taxes included, so the figure I give you is the figure you pay. It covers the blank, cutting the blade, programming whatever the vehicle needs, testing it in front of you and the trip out to the car. There is no call-out fee and nothing is added afterwards.
I accept Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Interac e-Transfer or cash, and payment is due only once the key is finished and working. If I cannot hand you a working key, you owe nothing.
By key type
I also cover specific key types: transponder / chip keys, smart / push-to-start keys, and all keys lost.
Other makes I cover
I cut and program keys, fobs and transponder keys for these makes — older mechanical and resistor keys included: Ford · Lincoln · Chevrolet · GMC · Buick · Cadillac · Chrysler · Dodge · Jeep · Ram · Toyota · Lexus · Honda · Acura · Nissan · Infiniti · Mazda · Mitsubishi · Subaru · Suzuki · Hyundai · Kia · Genesis · Land Rover · Jaguar. I work on North American, Japanese and Korean vehicles, plus Jaguar and Land Rover — not German makes (VW, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Mini, Porsche) or Volvo. See every make and model I cover.
