Mobile auto locksmith in Sage Creek

From the Village Centre lot on Burning Glass Road to a driveway off Des Hivernants Boulevard, I open locked cars and cut and program keys and fobs at the car, with the price settled before any work starts.

Sage Creek sits in the far south-east corner of Winnipeg, in the city's St. Boniface community area. It fills the land east of Lagimodière Boulevard and north of the Perimeter Highway, with Plessis Road on its eastern side and the new eastern extension of Abinojii Mikanah along the top. Sage Creek Boulevard meets Lagimodière about 1.2 km up from the Perimeter interchange. North of the extension, the newer Sage North carries on toward Dawson Road and joins the rest of the neighbourhood by Des Hivernants Boulevard North.

It is a young neighbourhood, built by Qualico from 2005 around 13 naturalized wetlands, native prairie planting and more than nine kilometres of crushed-limestone trails that join the Awasisak Mēskanow Greenway.

Most cars here sit on a driveway or at the curb on a residential street, with two exceptions.

The first is the Village Centre on Burning Glass Road, the commercial heart of Sage Creek with more than 25 shops and services — Sobeys, Shoppers Drug Mart, a Liquor Mart, RBC and TD branches, and a Shell station with a car wash — around its parking lot. A door shut on the keys with the groceries in the cart, or a fob that stops working at the pump, is on-site work for me right there.

The second is around the schools and parks. Sage Creek School on Sage Creek Boulevard teaches kindergarten to Grade 8, and École Sage Creek Bonavista on Des Hivernants Boulevard is a K–8 French immersion school. Ron Duhamel Park has a ball diamond, a basketball court and a toboggan slide for winter, and the neighbourhood also has the Capasso Pump Track. A key that slips out of a pocket somewhere along nine kilometres of trail is hard to find again — a new one can be cut and programmed at the car.

What I do on-site

  • On-site anywhere in Sage Creek — the Village Centre lot on Burning Glass Road, a driveway off Des Hivernants or Sage Creek Boulevard, outside the two schools, beside Ron Duhamel Park, or a new street in Sage North. No towing to a dealer.
  • Lost keys, spares, lockouts, fobs and chip keys — cut and paired to the car in your driveway or parking spot, for most makes and models, older cars included.
  • A set price before I start, no call-out fee — car lockout from $150, a spare, chip key or fob from $160, a smart key from $170, all keys lost from $200, taxes included. Sage Creek is inside Winnipeg, so nothing is added for travel. You pay once the key works.
  • Second key for half price — for the same car at the same visit, with a 1-year warranty on the work. Worth doing while both keys are still in the house rather than after one goes missing on a trail walk.
  • 8 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week, holidays too — call, text or WhatsApp +1 (204) 406-1801.

Frequently asked questions

Do you come to Sage Creek?
Yes, the whole neighbourhood: east of Lagimodière Boulevard, north of the Perimeter Highway, out to Plessis Road, and on into Sage North past the Abinojii Mikanah extension. A driveway off Sage Creek Boulevard or Des Hivernants, the Village Centre lot on Burning Glass Road, the streets by the schools and Ron Duhamel Park — it is all on-site work, and the car does not have to go to a dealer.
Can you open a car in the Sage Creek Village Centre lot?
Yes. The lot around Sobeys, Shoppers Drug Mart and the other shops on Burning Glass Road is the kind of place where keys get shut in a car — bags in one hand, door closed with the other. Send which side of the lot you are on and the year, make and model; you hear the price first, from $150 for a lockout, and the door is opened without damage. The same goes for a fob that gives out at the Shell pumps or the car wash.
What can you do on-site in Sage Creek?
Every service, done where the car is: lost keys replaced from scratch, spare and duplicate keys cut, locked cars opened without damage, and key fobs, remotes and transponder (chip) keys programmed for most makes and models, older cars included. That covers a driveway in Sage North, the curb outside Sage Creek School or École Sage Creek Bonavista, and the Village Centre lot. Before I start I check your vehicle registration and a matching photo ID.
When can you get to Sage Creek?
Every day, 8 AM to 9 PM, holidays included. Sage Creek is right against the Perimeter in the south-east, so the timing depends on traffic on Lagimodière and on what is already booked; send the street or the lot and I'll tell you honestly when I can be there, then we agree a time that suits you.
How much does it cost in Sage Creek?
Opening a locked car in Sage Creek costs from $150; a spare, chip key or fob is from $160, a push-to-start smart key from $170, and a new key when all are lost from $200, taxes included. Sage Creek is inside Winnipeg, so there is no travel charge on top, from the Village Centre to the newest street in Sage North. Some makes cost more, which you hear up front, and nothing is paid until the key works (full price list).
