Mobile auto locksmith in Corydon
Keys locked in the car during dinner on Corydon, a fob that gives up on a Fort Rouge side street, or the spare you have meant to get for years — I open cars and cut and program keys and fobs where the car is parked, with the price agreed first.
Corydon Avenue is Winnipeg Route 95. It starts in the east at Confusion Corner, the junction where Pembina Highway, Osborne Street, Donald Street and Corydon meet — notorious for catching out drivers who don’t know it — and runs west across Stafford Street and Kenaston Boulevard; past Assiniboine Park the same route carries on as Roblin Boulevard. Winnipeg Transit’s D19 Corydon bus runs along it.
The stretch between Stafford Street and Pembina Highway is Winnipeg’s Little Italy, now more often called Corydon Village: small cafés, restaurants, gelato shops, salons and offices, with residential buildings among them. The Corydon Avenue BIZ covers the avenue from Daly Street west to Cambridge Street and runs a summer concert series on Friday nights on Hugo Street, plus a Saturday-evening night market.
In 2026 the BIZ went further with Open Corydon: every Sunday from July 5 to September 6, Corydon between Daly Street and Lilac Street was closed to cars from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and given over to people on foot, patios and live performances, with detours for drivers and the businesses kept accessible. On a day like that the car is likely to be parked on a side street off the avenue — tell me that street, not just “Corydon”.
Around the avenue is Fort Rouge, named after a fort built on the Assiniboine around 1738. It is bounded by the Assiniboine on the north, the Red River on the east and south, and Stafford Street and Pembina Highway on the west, and takes in neighbourhoods such as Lord Roberts, Earl Grey, McMillan and Riverview. Its main health facility is the Riverview Health Centre; Churchill Drive is a City seasonal bike route from May to Thanksgiving, and its stretch from Eccles Street to the health centre is closed to cars outright.
Away from the restaurants, the car may be at the curb of a residential street off Osborne, Stafford or Grosvenor, in the lot behind an apartment block or in a driveway — all of it is ordinary work for me.
What I do on-site
- At the car, from Confusion Corner to Cambridge Street — the curb outside a restaurant on Corydon, a side street off Hugo or Lilac, the lot behind an apartment block in Lord Roberts or Earl Grey, or a driveway in Riverview. No tow.
- Lockouts opened, keys and fobs made — spare and replacement keys, remotes and transponder (chip) keys cut and programmed on the spot, for most makes and models, older cars included.
- Price agreed before anything else — car lockout from $150, spare, chip key or fob from $160, smart / push-to-start from $170, all keys lost from $200, taxes included. Corydon and Fort Rouge are inside Winnipeg, so there is no charge for the drive and no call-out fee. You pay once the key works or the door is open.
- Second key, half price — the same car at the same visit, with a 1-year warranty on the work: cheaper than being locked out on a patio night.
- 8 AM to 9 PM, all week, holidays included — a Sunday afternoon on Corydon and a weeknight dinner both fit. Call, text or WhatsApp +1 (204) 406-1801.

“I lost one of my car keys and only had one left, so I was really stressed. Andrew handled everything perfectly - he cut and programmed a new key for my Honda Civic in just about 10-15 minutes.”

Frequently asked questions
- Do you come to Corydon and Fort Rouge?
- Yes. I work anywhere along Corydon Avenue from Confusion Corner west to Cambridge Street, and across Fort Rouge — Lord Roberts, Earl Grey, McMillan and Riverview — whether the car is at the curb, in a lot behind an apartment block or in a driveway. For the Osborne strip itself, see my Osborne Village page. Nothing is towed; the job is done where the car sits.
- Can you help if I am locked out while eating on Corydon?
- Yes. Tell me the restaurant or the nearest cross street — Hugo, Lilac, Daly or Stafford, for example — and where the car actually is, because it may be round the corner on a side street. I open it without damaging the door or the lock, and if the key is lost rather than locked inside, a new one can be cut and programmed at the car.
- What if Corydon is closed to cars for Open Corydon?
- In 2026 Open Corydon ran every Sunday from July 5 to September 6, with the avenue closed to vehicles between Daly Street and Lilac Street from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. If the BIZ runs it again and your car is inside or beside the closed stretch, message me the side street and I meet you at the car from the nearest open block; the businesses on the strip were kept accessible.
- What can you do on-site around Corydon?
- Open locked cars without damage, replace lost keys, cut spares and program fobs, remotes and chip keys — for most makes and models, older cars included — wherever the car is, from a spot off Hugo Street to a driveway in Riverview. If there is no key left at all, a new one is made from scratch on the spot, after I have checked the vehicle registration and a matching photo ID.
- How much does it cost around Corydon?
- Around Corydon the floor prices are $150 for opening a locked car, $160 for a spare, chip key or fob, $170 for a smart / push-to-start key and $200 for a new key when none is left, taxes included. Nothing is charged for the drive, because Corydon and Fort Rouge are both inside Winnipeg, and there is no call-out fee either; certain makes cost more, and payment comes only after the car is open or the new key works (full list on the pricing page).
