Mobile auto locksmith in Seven Oaks

From a driveway in Amber Trails to the front lot at Seven Oaks General Hospital on Leila Avenue, I open locked cars and cut and program keys and fobs where the car already is, and you know the price before any work.

Seven Oaks is the name the City of Winnipeg gives the whole north-west corner of the city: a community area of fourteen neighbourhoods in two clusters, Seven Oaks East and Seven Oaks West, running north to Mollard and Pipeline Roads and west as far as Brookside Boulevard. The older, southern part along the river is the former city of West Kildonan, and Garden City and The Maples have pages of their own. This page is about the rest, most of it north of Leila Avenue.

The name comes from the Battle of Seven Oaks of 19 June 1816, marked by the monument at Main Street and Rupertsland Boulevard. Nearby, in the same old riverside part, Seven Oaks House at 50 Mac Street, the oldest remaining home in Winnipeg, is open as a museum from Victoria Day to Labour Day.

North of Leila the map is newer. Amber Trails curves along the top of Leila Avenue out to Pipeline Road; Leila North fills the space between Pipeline Road and McPhillips Street, with École Templeton; Templeton-Sinclair and Margaret Park carry on east toward Main Street up to the Bergen Cutoff, with the Vince Leah Recreation Centre. Past Chief Peguis Trail, Riverbend lies west of Main up to Glencaird Road, and Rivergrove sits between Main and the river, with McBeth House, which the City runs as a historic site. Chief Peguis Trail crosses the Red here on the Kildonan Settlers Bridge.

Most cars in these streets sit on a driveway or at the curb. The big exception is Seven Oaks General Hospital at 2300 McPhillips Street. Visitors park in the front lot across from the Leila Avenue main entrance or in the lower lot at the McPhillips Street (east) end, and both are paid parking, at machines inside the hospital or through the HangTag app — not a place to stand beside a locked car for long, so the price is settled by phone or message first.

Seven Oaks School Division runs the schools here, from Amber Trails and Riverbend to Garden City and West St. Paul, and West Kildonan Collegiate is on Ridgecrest Avenue, in Rivergrove.

What I do on-site

  • On-site anywhere in Seven Oaks — a driveway in Amber Trails or Leila North, the front lot at Seven Oaks General on Leila Avenue, a side street off Main in Riverbend or Rivergrove, or outside the Vince Leah Recreation Centre. No tow truck involved.
  • New keys, spares, lockouts, fobs and chip keys — made and programmed where the car is parked, for most makes and models, older cars included.
  • Up-front prices, no call-out fee — car lockout from $150, a spare, chip key or fob from $160, a smart key from $170, all keys lost from $200, taxes included. Seven Oaks is inside Winnipeg, so there is no travel charge; you pay once the key works.
  • Half price on the second key — same car, same visit, with a 1-year warranty on the work. Cheaper done at home in Amber Trails than after the only key has gone missing in a hospital lot.
  • Open 8 AM to 9 PM, seven days including holidays — call, text or WhatsApp +1 (204) 406-1801.

How I keep it legitimate

You always get the price up front and pay only once the key works. See my full pricing.

1-year warranty on my work · No call-out fee · Half price on a second key for the same car, same visit — you pay only for the result.

Frequently asked questions

Do you come to Seven Oaks, and which part is that?
Yes, all of it. This page covers the part of the City's Seven Oaks area mostly north of Leila Avenue — Amber Trails, Leila North, Templeton-Sinclair, Margaret Park, Riverbend and Rivergrove — plus Mandalay West just south of Leila and the riverside streets around Seven Oaks House on Mac Street. West Kildonan, Garden City and The Maples have their own pages. Wherever the car is, it stays there; nothing gets towed.
Can you help in the Seven Oaks General Hospital parking lot?
Yes. If the keys are locked in the car or a fob stops working in the front lot across from the Leila Avenue main entrance, or in the lower lot by the McPhillips Street doors, send the lot, roughly where you are parked and the year, make and model. You hear the price first — a lockout from $150 — and the car is opened without damage where it stands. Parking there is paid, so keep it paid up while you wait.
What can you do on-site in Seven Oaks?
The full list, at the car: lost keys replaced from scratch, spares and duplicates cut, locked cars opened without damage, and key fobs, remotes and transponder (chip) keys programmed for most makes and models, older cars included. That can be a driveway in Amber Trails, the curb on a street off Main in Riverbend, Ridgecrest Avenue by West Kildonan Collegiate or a spot outside the Vince Leah Recreation Centre. First I check your vehicle registration against a matching photo ID.
When can you come out to Seven Oaks?
Every day from 8 AM to 9 PM, holidays included. The north-west is a big area — from Pipeline Road across to the river — so how soon depends on where the car is and on what is already booked. Tell me the street or the lot and I'll say honestly when I can be there, then we fix a time that suits you.
How much does it cost in Seven Oaks?
Seven Oaks work runs on four starting prices: $150 to open a car, $160 for a spare, chip key or fob, $170 for a smart key and $200 to replace every lost key, taxes included. Seven Oaks is inside Winnipeg, so there is no travel charge on top, whether it is Amber Trails or Rivergrove. A few makes cost more, and I say so before starting; payment comes after the key works (full price list).
