Mobile auto locksmith in Linden Woods

Linden Woods was laid out in curving streets around a central lake and the parks beside it. Wherever the car is — in the driveway, outside a school on Wilkes Avenue or at the community centre beside Kleysen Park — the lockout, spare or new key and fob is done beside it, and you know the price first.

The neighbourhood belongs to the Fort Garry side of south-west Winnipeg. Wilkes Avenue and the Sterling Lyon Parkway form its north edge, McGillivray Boulevard the south, Waverley Street the east and Kenaston Boulevard the west — strictly, the railway tracks just behind Kenaston. Whyte Ridge lies across the Kenaston–McGillivray corner to the south-west.

Linden Woods is a little older than that neighbour; the first houses went up in 1982. Along the north edge, the Kenaston Underpass project removed a section of Wilkes Avenue near Kenaston and the Sterling Lyon Parkway was built to replace it, while Wilkes still runs alongside the CN main line.

Water and parkland take up a good share of it: the community centre counts 39 acres of lakes inside 63 acres of parks — Muys, Kleysen and Van Walleghem — and the central pond has a fountain. The Linden Woods Community Centre at 414 Lindenwood Drive West sits on the south side of Kleysen Park, which has two hockey rinks, tennis courts and a splash pad, with the parking lot at the centre. The Thundering Bison Trail follows Waverley Street, and smaller parks such as Kaitlyn Lawes Park and Birmingham Place Park sit in among the houses.

Van Walleghem School and Linden Meadows School are Pembina Trails schools, each sharing its grounds with a park. At the corner of Wilkes and Waverley, 877 Wilkes Avenue is home to both Grant Memorial Church and Linden Christian School, an independent kindergarten-to-grade-12 school. Drop-off lines, church parking and rink nights are all times a key can be locked inside. At home the car is in your driveway or garage, and that is where the work happens; the nearest big lot is just outside the neighbourhood, at Linden Ridge Shopping Centre on the south-east corner of Kenaston and McGillivray.

What I do on-site

  • On-site anywhere in Linden Woods — the streets around the central lake, the community centre lot beside Kleysen Park on Lindenwood Drive West, the school grounds at Van Walleghem and Linden Meadows, 877 Wilkes Avenue at Waverley, or Linden Ridge Shopping Centre just across McGillivray. No towing.
  • Lost keys, spares, lockouts, fobs and chip keys — a new key cut and programmed at the car for most makes and models, older cars included, even with no original to copy.
  • Up-front price, no call-out fee — lockouts from $150; spares, chip keys and fobs from $160; a smart key from $170; all keys lost from $200 — taxes in, and nothing to pay until the key works.
  • Half price on a second key — when it is cut for the same car at the same visit; a 1-year warranty covers the work.
  • Hours: 8 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week, holidays included — call, text or WhatsApp +1 (204) 406-1801 and mention the nearest park or school.

Frequently asked questions

Do you come to Linden Woods?
Yes — anywhere between Wilkes Avenue and McGillivray Boulevard, from Kenaston across to Waverley. That takes in the streets around the central lake, the community centre on Lindenwood Drive West, the school grounds at Van Walleghem and Linden Meadows, and, just across McGillivray, Linden Ridge Shopping Centre. The work is done where the car is, so it never has to be towed.
When can you reach Linden Woods?
Linden Woods is served every day from 8 AM to 9 PM, holidays too. There is no fixed arrival window — it depends on the day's bookings and the route in — so call +1 (204) 406-1801 and you get an honest answer on timing together with the price; then we pick a time that suits you.
What can you do on-site in Linden Woods?
I open locked cars, cut spare and duplicate keys, replace lost ones and program fobs, remotes and transponder (chip) keys for most makes and models, older cars included. If nothing that starts the car is left, a new key is made from scratch beside it — in your garage, by Kleysen Park or in a school lot on Wilkes. First I look at the vehicle registration and a matching photo ID.
Can you come to a school or church lot on Wilkes Avenue?
Yes. The parking at 877 Wilkes Avenue, the address Linden Christian School shares with Grant Memorial Church at the corner of Wilkes and Waverley, is normal ground, and so are the grounds at Van Walleghem and Linden Meadows. Tell me which entrance you used and roughly where the car is; after the registration and ID check, the lockout, spare or new key is done right there.
How much does it cost in Linden Woods?
For Linden Woods the starting prices are $150 for a car lockout, $160 for a spare, chip key or fob, $170 for a smart or push-to-start key and $200 when all keys are lost, taxes included. Linden Woods is inside Winnipeg, so no travel charge is added for the drive; some makes cost more, the figure is given before any work, and payment comes once the key works — the pricing page has the full list.
