Mobile auto locksmith in Landmark
In Landmark the car may be in a driveway, at the Kinsmen Community Centre on Robert Koop Road or outside the elementary school on Second Street East. Wherever it is, the key gets cut or the door gets opened on the spot, and the distance from Winnipeg is already inside the one number you are told up front.
Landmark is a local urban district in the Rural Municipality of Taché, about 24 km south-east of the Winnipeg city limit by road. Two provincial roads share the same stretch through it: PR 206, the long north–south road that runs up toward Lorette and the Trans-Canada, and PR 210, which comes in from Île-des-Chênes on the west and leaves for Ste. Anne on the east. Further south, PR 311 crosses PR 206 on its way between Niverville and Blumenort.
Landmark was first called Prairie Rose, and the old name lives on in the Prairie Rose Evangelical Mennonite Church, one of four churches in the community today.
Both schools belong to the Hanover School Division: Landmark Elementary at 177 Second Street East, kindergarten to Grade 6, and Landmark Collegiate for Grades 7 to 12. The Landmark Kinsmen Community Centre and the Landmark Recreation Association’s hockey rink share one address, 191 Robert Koop Road, and there is a youth centre and a baseball diamond as well.
The businesses are the ones a farm community needs — a feed supplier, repair garages, a restaurant, a convenience store, a credit union, a post office and an insurance office. And one detail sets the place apart: Landmark sits on the longitudinal centre of Canada.
I cover Landmark, south-east of Winnipeg in the RM of Taché. Landmark is outside the city, so the travel fee is $2 per km from the Winnipeg city limit to Landmark, worked into the exact, all-in amount you get before I set out.
What I do on-site
- On-site anywhere in Landmark — a driveway in town, the Kinsmen Centre and rink lot at 191 Robert Koop Road, the school lots, or a yard out along PR 206 or PR 210. No towing to a shop.
- Keys, spares, lockouts, fobs and chip keys — made and programmed at the vehicle, whether that is a family car at home or a truck in a farmyard. Most makes and models, older cars included.
- Up-front, all-in price — car lockout from $150, spare, chip key or fob from $160, smart / push-to-start from $170, all keys lost from $200, taxes included. Landmark is outside Winnipeg, so a travel fee sits inside that number, and you hear the total before I leave. No call-out fee, and you pay only once the key works or the car is open.
- Half price on a second key — same car, same visit, with a 1-year warranty on the work. Out here a spare is worth having before the only key goes missing somewhere between the barn and the house.
- Open 8 AM to 9 PM, 7 days — holidays too, so a Saturday game at the rink or a weeknight at home both work. Call, text or WhatsApp +1 (204) 406-1801.

Before any work, I always check your vehicle registration and a matching photo ID. It is a standard part of how I operate — to confirm the vehicle is yours and keep everything above board.
Frequently asked questions
- Do you come to Landmark?
- Yes. I am a mobile locksmith, so the job is done at the vehicle — in a driveway in town, at the Kinsmen Centre on Robert Koop Road, outside Landmark Elementary on Second Street East, or on a farm site along PR 206 or PR 210. Landmark is outside Winnipeg, so there is a travel fee, and it is built into the exact, all-in price you hear before I set out. Tell me the year, make and model, and we agree a day and time once you have the price.
- When can you reach Landmark?
- Between 8 AM and 9 PM, seven days a week, holidays included. How soon depends on the drive out to the RM of Taché and on the day’s bookings, so call or message +1 (204) 406-1801 and I will tell you honestly when I can be there. The distance is already counted in the all-in price you get before I leave.
- Do you cover the farms around Landmark?
- Yes. Yard sites and farm lanes off PR 206, PR 210 and PR 311 are on-site work, just like a driveway in town. On a farm the car or truck can sit well back from the road, so tell me the yard and which building it is parked by, and send a photo of the key on WhatsApp if you still have one. The travel fee rises with the distance, and it is always inside the all-in total I give you first.
- What can you do on-site in Landmark?
- A first key made when every key is gone, a spare copied from the one that still works, a locked door opened, a remote or chip key programmed — all beside the vehicle, in town or out on the farm. Most makes and models, older cars included.
- How much does it cost in Landmark?
- In Landmark you pay from $150 for a lockout, from $160 for a spare, chip key or fob, from $170 for a smart / push-to-start key and from $200 when all keys are lost, taxes included. The travel fee is $2 per km from the Winnipeg city limit to Landmark; it is part of the all-in price I give you before I set out, and you pay only once the key works or the car is open. Some makes cost more, and the pricing page has the full list.
