Mobile auto locksmith in La Salle

In La Salle the car may be in a driveway near the river, in the lot at the Caisse Community Centre on PR 247 or at the golf club just west of the village. A key that has vanished, a fob that has stopped responding or a car locked with the keys inside is handled where it is parked, and the drive from the city is part of one price you hear up front.

La Salle sits on the La Salle River in the Rural Municipality of Macdonald, about 5 km south of the Winnipeg city limit by road, from the city’s southern tip on Brady Road. PR 330 is the main road in: it runs south from the Perimeter Highway and is Rue Principale in the village centre; PR 247 comes in from Sanford on the west, shares a short stretch of Rue Principale downtown, and leaves east along First Avenue toward Howden and Highway 75. Both roads cross the river on bridges.

It is unincorporated, but it is the largest community in the RM, which also includes Oak Bluff and has its seat in Sanford, and PR 330 is a heavily used commuter road between the village and the city. Its roots are French and Catholic: families from Quebec settled the parish through the 1890s.

The Caisse Community Centre on PR 247 East is a 17,000-square-foot building with a full gym and a multipurpose room, with baseball diamonds, soccer pitches, a football field and an outdoor rink around it, and there is a curling rink in the village too. La Salle School, at 43 Beaudry Street, teaches kindergarten to Grade 8 for the Seine River School Division. Just west on PR 247, the Kingswood Golf and Country Club plays 18 holes at par 71 with the river in play on several of them.

The river also ties La Salle to the city: it winds north-east from here and meets the Red at St. Norbert, beside the heritage park on Turnbull Drive.

I cover La Salle, south of Winnipeg in the RM of Macdonald. It is outside the city limits, so the travel fee is $2 per km from the Winnipeg city limit to La Salle; it goes into the price, and you get the exact, all-in figure before I set out.

What I do on-site

  • On-site anywhere in La Salle — a driveway at home, Rue Principale, the Caisse Community Centre lot on PR 247 East, La Salle School on Beaudry Street, or the Kingswood clubhouse lot. The car is never towed to a shop.
  • Keys from scratch, spares, lockouts, fobs and chip keys — cut and programmed beside the car for most makes and models, older cars included, on a residential street or in a busy lot.
  • Up-front, all-in price — car lockout from $150, spare, chip key or fob from $160, smart / push-to-start from $170, all keys lost from $200, taxes included. La Salle is outside Winnipeg, so a travel fee is built into that number, and you hear the total before I set out. No call-out fee, and you pay once the key works or the car is open.
  • Half price on a second key — same car, cut at the same visit, with a 1-year warranty on the work. When the car is what gets you up PR 330 to work every morning, a second key cut at home saves a scramble on the day the only one goes missing.
  • Open 8 AM to 9 PM, 7 days — holidays included, so a Saturday round at Kingswood or a weeknight game at the community centre both fit. Call, text or WhatsApp +1 (204) 406-1801.

Frequently asked questions

Do you come to La Salle?
Yes. I work at the car, so it can stay where it is — a driveway near the river, Rue Principale, the community centre lot on PR 247 East or the golf club — with no tow up PR 330. La Salle is outside Winnipeg, so a travel fee applies; it is inside the exact, all-in price I give you before I set out. Send the year, make and model, and when the price works for you we fix a day and time.
When can you reach La Salle?
I book La Salle jobs from 8 AM to 9 PM, every day, holidays included. When I can come depends on the drive down PR 330 and on the jobs already booked that day, so call or message +1 (204) 406-1801 and I will be straight with you about timing. The distance is priced into the single all-in figure you get before I leave.
Do you cover the golf course and the community centre?
Yes. The Kingswood Golf and Country Club on PR 247, just west of the village, and the Caisse Community Centre on PR 247 East, with its gym, ball diamonds and outdoor rink, are on-site work like any driveway. Keys get left in golf bags and fobs give out in cold lots, so tell me which lot the car is in and send a WhatsApp photo of the key if you can.
What can you do on-site in La Salle?
Whatever stands between you and driving away, as long as it is the key: a new one when all are lost, a copy of the one you have, a door opened, a fob or chip key programmed. That applies in a driveway, on Rue Principale or at the community centre, for most makes and models, older cars included.
How much does it cost in La Salle?
For a car in La Salle, a lockout is from $150, a spare, chip key or fob from $160, a smart / push-to-start key from $170, and all keys lost from $200, taxes included. The travel fee is $2 per km from the Winnipeg city limit to La Salle; it is part of the all-in price I give you before I set out, never added once I am there, and you pay only once the key works or the car is open. Some makes cost more, see the pricing page.
